Welcome message from the ESCRS President:

Following on from the continued success of the ESCRS Congress in Milan in 2022 - we are excited to be able to welcome the ESCRS community to the Messe Wien venue, in Vienna, Austria. This state-of-the-art venue offers an ideal location for all of our participants and supporters to convene and share the most up to date scientific and technological developments, learn about the newest industry offerings, renew links with colleagues and build new alliances to further advance our profession.

The congress programme will offer main symposia, instructional courses, a full suite of wetlab courses, video sessions, poster and oral presentations as well as a variety of other special interest days and sessions to cater to a broad range of interests and specialisations. Our industry partners will once again showcase a wealth of new technology and resources through the exhibition and satellite symposia throughout the congress.

I would also like to highlight that the ESCRS 2023 Congress will represent a crucial second step in the ESCRS sustainability journey, which we embarked on in earnest in 2022. My personal commitment to sustainability as President of ESCRS is equalled by the commitment of the Society as a whole, and we are increasing our momentum and investment in this area to achieve the very lofty goal of having a congress with zero waste to landfills, zero net carbon emissions and placing ESCRS as a role model for social responsibility. I reiterate my call to you all therefore, as this project requires that we all work collaboratively to support this aim. Please, join us on this journey!
