50th FEBS Congress | 4-8 July 2026 | Maastricht, the Netherlands
This milestone edition of the FEBS Congress will be hosted by the Netherlands Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (NVBMB) and promises to be a celebration of past achievements and future directions in the molecular life sciences.
The slogan for this Congress - "Biochemistry for the next 50 years" - reflects our forward-looking vision. As we honour the legacy of biochemistry and closely related disciplines, we also aim to inspire the next generation of discoveries that will shape our understanding of life and help address global challenges in health, sustainability, and technology.
The scientific programme at the 50th FEBS Congress will span important topics from across the molecular life sciences, and include a balance of lectures from invited experts - in the form of inspiring plenary lectures, and deeper dives into currently important research areas through more-focused symposia - as well as opportunities for delegates to present their work through short oral presentations and posters. Contributions from industry are also invited through an exhibition, and the Congress will be preceded by the FEBS Young Scientists' Forum 2026, taking place in Wageningen as a satellite meeting to the Congress.
We are especially proud to welcome you to Maastricht - a historic city at the heart of Europe, known for its cultural richness, international character, and strong academic tradition. Maastricht provides a perfect backdrop for scientific exchange and collaboration, and the modern MECC conference centre will offer an inspiring and comfortable environment for this special edition of the Congress.
On behalf of FEBS and NVBMB, we warmly invite scientists from all parts of the world and at all career stages to join us at the 50th FEBS Congress, and we look forward to welcoming you in Maastricht in July 2026!
