Bruce Trezevant

Project Unity USA, a 501c3 non-profit organization proudly rooted in Columbia, South Carolina. Our story began in August 2006 when Mr. Bruce A. Trezevant, a former Los Angeles Police Officer and Richland County Deputy Sheriff, founded the organization. Motivated by the surge in violent crimes in his childhood community—a place his mother still calls home—Mr. Trezevant committed himself to combating crime on both the West and East coasts of the United States.

At the heart of our mission is the transformative power of PRAYER & UNITY. Mr. Trezevant advocates for unity across five essential pillars: Community members, Law Enforcement, The Church, The Media, and Business. Together, these groups form an unyielding force against malevolent forces that seek to undermine communities.

Under the banner of Project Unity USA, Mr. Trezevant envisions a journey that will bring about transformation in high-crime neighborhoods. His mission is to educate and inspire these five vital components to work in seamless harmony—a strategy that not only reduces crime but also enhances the overall safety and well-being of the communities in which we all reside, labor, and enjoy our lives.

Our primary areas of focus are violent crimes within communities, domestic violence, and human trafficking. Since our inception, we've achieved remarkable milestones, including the apprehension and conviction of 11 homicide suspects, support provided to over 1,245 family members victimized by domestic violence, installation of surveillance cameras in 15 communities, assistance in addressing hot spot issues in 28 communities, and the successful reuniting of 9 youth who had fallen prey to human trafficking with their families. Project Unity USA has also been instrumental in organizing a series of community events designed to promote unity and harmony among residents.
