Decommissioning concerns the planning and preparation phases and demolition concerns the actual taking down of the plant and the environmental remediation. The process as a whole is very costly and time consuming. Operators often hire a contractor for the demolition of a plant.

As decommissioning is not business as usual for certain industries, it is difficult for them to know what to pay attention to when selecting a contractor. During this event we’ll cover A lot of utility companies are, or soon will be, demolishing and dismantling power plants. Most utilities have little or no experience in this field. This conference will show them the ins and outs of the process A very specific focus, targeting industries that are facing significant number of asset closures.
