Lieutenant Colonel Ditzell has served with distinction and has been awarded the Army Commendation Medal, having served as the Division Psychiatrist in Tikrit, Iraq during deployment in 2005.
Dr. Ditzell has had the additional honor of serving as Medical Officer for a Community-Based Warrior Transition Unit at Rock Island Arsenal, assisting soldiers and their families making the often-times difficult transition from overseas deployment to home.
