as part of the Uzbekistan International Construction and Interior Week.

Uzbekistan is the largest consumer market in the Central Asian region with a population of over 37.5 million people. The country's furniture and woodworking industry is among the most dynamically developing sectors of the economy, which primarily involve small and medium-sized businesses.

New residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure facilities construction projects being launched across the country determine a constant demand for furniture products and interior decoration works. Today, about 90% of the total market capacity is satisfied by domestic furniture products. There are more than 5,000 enterprises in the country producing ready furniture, materials, components, and woodworking products, with more than 300,000 people employed in the industry. Over the past 10 years, the range of manufactured products has significantly expanded, quality and design have improved in line with the global trends, both exports and import of ready furniture are annually increasing.

Since its foundation in 2004, the "Woodtech & MebelExpo Uzbekistan" exhibition has become the main international exhibition event of the industry. The exhibition provides domestic manufacturers with the opportunity to directly access modern woodworking technologies, raw materials and components without leaving the country, and for companies focused on developing sales in the local market, it provides a unique meeting point to negotiate with the main market players: manufacturers and distributors.
