Breaking Workplace Disability Barriers: Hayden's Story
WDNBH and BHSSC present the debut of Breaking Workplace Disability Barrers: Hayden's Story for our 2025 NDEAM event!
Join the Workplace Disability Network of the Black Hills (WDNBH) and Black Hills Special Services Cooperative (BHSSC) for the debut of this interactive training, designed to help businesses identify and remove workplace barriers that affect employees with disabilities.
This first module, Hayden's Story, focuses on mental illness and accommodations in the workplace. Through interactive scenarios, participants will experience barriers firsthand and then collaborate on solutions that support employees and strengthen business practices.
Approved for 2 SHRM Professional Development Credits (PDCs)!
Training Objectives:
Identify common barriers in hiring, onboarding, retention, and daily operations
Collaborate to design solutions that foster smoother workplace experiences
Participate in a guided discussion on strategies to implement in their own organization
Participants Will Learn How To:
Strengthen hiring processes
Support employees effectively
Meet compliance requirements with confidence
Build a workplace where all team members can contribute fully
